SUMMARY

When Laplink V/DOS is launched, the video display is distorted, contains "garbage" characters or the monitor loses it horizontal scroll. What can I do to fix this?

CAUSE

Laplink V/DOS defaults to running in a 'graphical' text mode if it determines that the computer is running in standard DOS. This mode provides Laplink with some of the Windows 'look and feel' features. It may not be compatible with some monitors or video cards. This 'graphical' text mode can be disabled.

SOLUTION

To do so, start the application with this command line:

LL5 /g
