SUMMARY

I need to uninstall Palm Desktop and HotSync to solve a problem I have with PDAsync. How can I do this?

SOLUTION

Note: Before following the steps to remove Palm Desktop and HotSync, see Technical Document 103: How to Completely Remove Laplink Products from the Hard Drive and the Windows Registry to remove PDAsync.

To uninstall Palm Desktop and HotSync:

  1. Click Start Icon located at the bottom left of your screen, the start menu appears.

  2. Click Control Panel

  3. Open Add or Remove Programs, then highlight "Palm Desktop" and click Remove button.

  4. Choose Yes option when prompted to uninstall the unwanted program. Then the system will configure the program and complete the uninstall automatically, so just wait a moment until the whole uninstall procedure.

  5. Go to your desktop, double click the My computer icon, double click Local Disk C, and double click Program Files. You will see a folder named Palm, please delete it manually.
