Installing Laplink When Purchased With A Computer

SUMMARY

I purchased a new computer, and a Laplink product came with it, and I have several questions about installing it to my other computer(s), receiving a manual or a cable.

 

SOLUTION

Laplink Software, Inc. licenses several versions of Laplink products to be included in software bundles that are offered to new computer owners by computer manufacturers. When the computer manufacturers (OEMs) purchase a license from Laplink Software, Inc., they have a variety of options that include software only, software/manual, or software/manual/cable. Almost exclusively, OEMs purchase a license only for software, and leave the cable and manual purchasing decisions up to the computer owner. Getting your Laplink product onto the second computer is simple1. If your new computer came with a CD containing our product, simply install it on your computers. If it did not, please contact our Customer Service department at 1-800-343-8080.
