SUMMARY

Laplink appears to be conflicting with my current video card driver. It's been suggested to me to try using a Standard VGA driver with my video card, but I'm uncertain as to how to change the drivers.

SOLUTION

  1. From the Start menu, point to Settings, then Control Panel. Double-click Display. You can also right-click on the desktop and click on Properties.

  2. Click on the Settings tab.
-In Windows 95: Click on Change Display Type. In the Adapter Type section, click on Change.
-In Windows 95 OSR2 and Windows 98: Click on Advanced. Click on the Adapter tab. Click on Change.

  3. In either Windows version: Click on Show all devices. Under Manufacturers, Click on (Standard Display Types).

  4. Under Models, Click on Standard Display Adapter (VGA).

  5. Click on OK. Windows will now install the standard VGA driver and reboot your machine.
