Laplink Gold 12 Error: "Anti-virus Module not found"

SUMMARY

When trying to launch Laplink Gold 12, you receive the following error message: "Anti-virus Module not found"

 

CAUSE

Something has corrupted the definition files for Laplink Anti-Virus.

 

SOLUTION

Please follow these steps:

  1. Close Laplink Gold 12 if it is already running.

  2. Open Windows Explorer or My Computer and browse to the following folder:
    C:\PROGRAM FILES\COMMON FILES\LAPLINK ANTIVIRUS

  3. Rename the following files :
    bdcore.dll --> bdcore.old
    libfn.dll --> libfn.old

  4. Then rename the following files:
    bdcore.dll.updpnd --> bdcore.dll
    libfn.dll.updpnd --> libfn.dll.

  5. Once those files are renamed, run the program llavupdt.exe by double-clicking on it. You will see no output so wait 1 minute.

  6. Restart Laplink Gold 12.
